About Me and My Blog

Updated: Apr 15, 2019

Hi all! My name is Kelsey. When I got pregnant, I started journaling. I would vent about my feelings, my anxieties, my guilts. I would write about the things that no one ever tells you about pregnancy, childbirth, and even after. I would even write down the tips and pieces of advice other mama’s would share with me. Recently, I shared my journal with another expecting mom and she encouraged me to start my blog!

So here’s a little about myself. I am 22 years old, I have two little sisters, and nothing is more important to me than my family. Three years ago I was enrolled in a first responder class at the Santa Rosa Junior College where I fell in love with my teacher’s assistant. Fast forward to today and we are engaged with a beautiful baby girl, Paisley Ann.

Tyler, my fiance, is a paramedic in Sonoma County. When I found out I was pregnant I enrolled in medical assisting school. I graduated as a nationally certified medical assistant and phlebotomist when I was 36 weeks pregnant. When my daughter was three months old I completed a 6 week internship. I got offered a couple of jobs, but I had to put my career plans on hold to take care of Paisley while Tyler completed his paramedic schooling, clinical hours, and internship.

So for now, I get to be a stay at home mom! Just trying to figure it out like all you other moms and dads. The goal of this blog is to help any mommy or daddy who feels like they don’t know what they are doing. To ease any anxieties or fears of guilts you might be feeling. I’m here to tell you’re not alone and there is no such thing as a perfect parent, we are all flawed. It’s true what they say, it really does take a village to raise a child. I hope that I can get to be apart of your village!
